1. Q. What is the purpose of your web site?
>> A. CorporateDonations.org exists to help organizations find a place for their unwanted, but undamaged, items. The site also exists to help non-profits find items that are available to be donated to them. Our goal is to make it easier for companies to donate items and easier for non-profits to receive donations.
2. Q. What is the cost to use your web site?
>> A The web site is free. We do not charge for the use or our service.
3. Q. If you do not charge then how are you funded?
>> A. We are asking companies to contribute funds to help cover the costs to run the site and our board is also seeking donations.
4. Q. How do register as a company that would like to donate to a non-profit?
>> A. First you register on the site as a donor by clicking on the button on the left side of the homepage that says “Are you an organization with items or services to donate? Sign Up Here”
5. Q. How do register as a non-profit that would like to receive donations?
>> A. First you register on the site as a donor by clicking on the button on the left side of the homepage that says “Are you a non-profit? Sign Up Here”
6. Q. How do list items that I would like to donate?
>> A. After you have signed-in click on the “My Organization Details” button. Then scroll down to the “Items to donate” box. In that box you can type the items that you have available.
7. Q. How do list items that my non-profit needs?
>> A. After you have signed-in click on the “My Organization Details” button. Then scroll down to the “Items Looking for” box. In that box you can type the items that your non-profit needs.
8. Q. How do I search for items (either to donate or receive)?
>> A. In the search box in the middle of the homepage you can type in the items. You can also use “Advanced Search” function to search by city, state, organization name or key word. Keep in mind that searches done while you are logged in as a non-profit will only search donor information, not other non-profits, and vice versa.
9. Q. How much of your budget goes to charities versus to administrative expenses?
>> A. We do not take any percentage or portion of the items being donated through our site, so 100% of those items or funds go directly to the charities. We are currently operating off of donated servers and bandwidth from www.host303.com (thank you Host303) and volunteer hours from our board members and friends so no money is being spent on administrative items.
10. Q. How did you get started?
>> A. The site was launched as a wedding present to Declan Wyrick and Clare (Foley) Wyrick. Their request to have wedding presents in the form of charitable donations encouraged our founders to speed up their development efforts and to launch the CorporateDonations web site.
11. Does CorporateDonations.org accept medical supplies and equipment?
>> A. We can accept these but we prefer that you donate directly to Project C.U.R.E.. They can be reached at 303.792-0729 or you can visit their web site at www.projectcure.org.
